The Switch has a mains power connection on the back, and 6 network ports on the front.

  • The WAN port is used to connect the switch to your modem or router that provides an internet connection.
  • The NVR port is unpowered, and is ideal for connecting your CleverLoop Base Station to.
  • The ports labeled POE 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x are powered data ports (48 Volts DC) and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor CleverLoop cameras, using the appropriate step-down POE kits.

Note that the kits for indoor cameras (which are 5 V DC) and outdoor cameras (which are 12 V DC) are different.

The step-down POE kits for outdoor cameras are available from our website here.

The step-down POE kits for indoor cameras are available here.

IF you already have an injector/splitter kit for your outdoor cameras, DO NOT use the splitter end at the camera to try and power the camera from a POE switch. This will supply 48 Volts DC to a camera designed for 12 Volts DC and will damage the camera.
