How to bring friends, family or close neighbours into your Security Loop while you’re away on vacation

We think it’s a pretty good idea to set up a circle of people you trust to watch over your home while you are not there so they can help take any action if required. The same goes for small business owners, who might want to add colleagues and employees into the Security Loop.

For home owners, in the old days this was done by simply asking neighbours, friends and relatives to keep an eye on the place while your away on vacation. This is still a great idea as having people regularly check in to make sure nothing unusual is happening does make a difference.

With smart home security systems, you can actually invite people to be actively be involved in keeping an eye on things by providing them access to view your security system. Whilst you’ll probably want to include immediate family members living in the same place in your security loop, you can go wider. This is particularly useful if you’re going to be out of mobile and Wi-Fi range when on vacation, or will be turning your phone off regularly, such as at night for example.

Using CleverLoop, all your friends or family members need to help you protect your home is download the CleverLoop app, create an account and scan the unique code (or just tell them it) that comes with the CleverLoop Base Station. They can then view your cameras and act on your behalf.
